Committee Listing 2007/08

AGM Report 2007

The AGM was held on Thursday, 15th October 2007 showed a healthy growth period for the club. With the funds we had at our disposal the committee managed to cover all operating costs for the period OCT 2006 to OCT 2007 and also purchase new kits for all the junior teams, update the training equipment for all teams, purchase a new commercial fridge for the canteen, update the antiquated PA system and purchase a laptop for the club secretary.

Our playing membership remained steady with approx 360 junior players and 160 senior players registered for the 2007 season. For the future we plan to install a Junior Development Coordinator to take us to the next level of football eduction for all our junior players. The club will also look towards a sponsorship benefit scheme for our members in an attempt to bring in additional funds to the club, and keep our playing costs at a minimum, which means reducing the registration fee’s to the minimum required to operate the club.

In the committee shake up the only change was that Mark Donohue stepped down as the Deputy President due to work commitments and Massimo D’Alo assumed the position after the one and only railroading incident this year. Tony Pritchard was reinstated as the President and Treasurer, Leanne Carnicelli was re-elected as the club Secretary, Deb Teakel as the Assistant Treasurer, Kevin Teakel as the Bar Manager and Dawn Pereira, Caroline Devine and Ian Cooper were all welcomed back as committee members.

Glenn Hickey will front the Junior Committee and will be backed up by Ron Costanza and Alan Kimber. It’s a worry, as there is a lot of work involved in the junior committee and these three gentlemen will find the going tough if no one else offers help. So if you can get on board and do something, don’t be shy, step up and give Glenn a call (see above). Every little bit helps.
